Louisiana Duck Calls came about as a natural extension of my love for duck hunting and my interest in making things. I, like most other duck hunters, have a box full of duck calls but only a certain few that I will carry to the blind. Most off- the -shelf duck calls will call ducks but every hunter will sound different even with the same call. I wanted a call that would be an effective tool to enhance my experience afield.

After a lot of scrap wood, I came up with a "fair" call. After a lot more scrap, I made some calls that I used all season with good results.

I am fortunate enough to hunt with some excellent duck hunters at the "Ain't No Tellin Duck Camp" who are very good callers. Consequently, since all custom calls, by definition, sound slightly different, the boys at the "Ain't No Tellin" have helped me tune both a single reed and a double reed call that is made entirely of polyurethane for consistency. These calls are made to sound good in the hands of a beginner and produce all of the notes an experienced caller wants.

In addition, a call with a hand turned exotic wood barrel with polyurethane tone board (double and single reed), and an entirely hand turned and tuned exotic wood custom call, in both double and single reed, will be offered.
